24 Oct 2012 we boarded the boys at a facility in Lawton, OK. By the end of December they were skin and bones! We were only able to visit them periodically. They are now safely in the hands of a family member and gaining their weight and health back under my watchful eye!
A few things to know about our Ranch...
- We are a family owned and run operation, we do not hire on outside hands other then contract work for repairs.
- Our Ranch is by appointment only, the gate remains locked at all times unless someone is here for an appointment.
- All horses being brought onto the property must have current coggins, including those for equine massage work. My personal horses as well as those of my clients are not worth the risk.
- The photos on this site are taken between the 4 facilities we have housed the Ranch at over the years of military moves, please do not assume that we have what is pictured and leave a review that I am posting false photos.
Why hello there!
Glad ya stopped in! We are currently in the process of revamping our entire setup out here at the Ranch! Our ranch has been leased out for the last couple years and, well, upon moving back, we've found it in disarray. For the remainder of 2024, we will be fixing the property and updating our facilities to open up bigger and better in 2025! Tiffany may take a few lessons here and there as she gets the horses back into shape, and we will have our cattle operation and our Longhorn bull, Stone, for lease, but it will be pretty quiet around here this year and the beginning of 2025. For those that don't know us, we specialize in retraining off track thoroughbreds, training horses, riding lessons, horse sitting and layovers, equine massage and Silver Horse Care! Currently we are only offering farm sitting and bull breeding leases. Take a look around the site and get a feel for us, this is our life and our pride! We tried to cover every question you could have about us here on this site, but please, don't ever hesitate to contact us! Our Story....
​River Run Ranch is our little horse haven, and home to River Run Thoroughbreds. River Run Ranch began as River Run Thoroughbreds, which is the effort of a simple country gal to give Retired Thoroughbred Racers a second lease on life. All too often retired race horses are sent off for slaughter, turned out to pasture to waste away, or sold to people who have no idea how to handle a racehorse... After seeing the personality of the thoroughbreds, and the passion they display for any sort of work, Tiffany formed RRT.
​River Run Thoroughbreds started in Saint Louis, Missouri when Tiffany purchased her second OTTB in May of 2011. In April of 2012, Tiffany moved the operation to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She set up on 4 acres, which was too small to house any OTTBs, so she added Horsemanship to their list of specialties, and so River Run Ranch was born. Tiffany had trained horses and given lessons in the past and chose to fall back on that using Luke and Ti as the lesson horses to maintain the outlook on OTTBs for a second career. In October 2012, a move placed Tiffany in Oklahoma, so she chose to purchase a larger piece of property to house the Ranch. The property didn't have anything on it, so it is a slow go to get the place up and running, but progressed to build the name of River Run Ranch! In 2019, Tiffany parted ways with her ex-husband and business partner and continued to build River Run on her own. In 2021, she met someone with the same fire she did for ranching and they quickly became more than just partners. River Run is now home of a Longhorn Bull leasing program and an Angus breeding program, as well as Tiffany's services. It's been a slow restart process, but we know God's plan is coming together and we will soon have a place we will be able to share with our community! Stay tuned!
